Omotrack Birkir

Omotrack

Omotrack is a band initially consisting of two brothers, Markús & Birkir from Iceland. They have been playing and composing music together since they were little. They were raised in Ethiopia in a small village called Omo Rate where the idea of the band name, Omotrack, comes from. It has been difficult to label their music but they have received a number of suggestions to describe it, such as: “Electro – pop”, “Indie – electro” and “Lo-fi electro-rock”. In march 2015 they wrote Omotrack's first song "Mono & Bright". Since then they have been playing all over Iceland. They kept on composing and writing music, and released their first album “Mono & Bright” in September 2016. Now they have added 4 brass players to funk up their style. Now it's even harder to label their music.

The album is available on Tónlist.is and iTunes.

You can also listen to the whole album on Spotify!
